Nivalis Nights Launches as Cyberpunk Life Sim
ION LANDS' long-awaited cyberpunk life simulation Nivalis Nights is now available. The game tasks players with building a ramen empire and forging a life in a neon-drenched, voxel city.

Nivalis Nights has officially launched on Steam, delivering a cyberpunk slice-of-life simulation after multiple delays. Developer ION LANDS released the game on September 30, 2026, years after its initial 2021 reveal and a postponed 2023 launch window.
Set in the futuristic city of Nivalis, which rises from the ocean to above the clouds, the game blends life simulation, business management, and narrative adventure. Players begin with a modest noodle stand, laying the foundation for a potential empire of ramen bars, restaurants, and nightclubs. The experience is about creating a personal routine within a neon-lit world, mixing the mundane with the mysterious.
Core Gameplay Systems
Players manage their business by designing the seating layout, decorations, and menu. Each dish requires specific recipes, ingredients, and equipment, forcing owners to decide what to serve and which customer demographic to target. Ingredients must be sourced, purchased, or grown by the player.
Beyond the shop counter, life in Nivalis is expansive. Players receive a boat for fishing and exploring the city's waterways. They can buy and decorate apartments, engage in various minigames, and build relationships with the city's residents through quests, friendships, or romance. A core narrative runs alongside these simulation elements. Progression allows for managing additional venues, from restaurants to clubs.
The city holds secrets and dangers. Players can choose to focus on business, relationships, or uncovering hidden stories. During CorpSec-enforced curfews, they might even evade security to sabotage rival businesses, though they must remain cautious of becoming a victim themselves.
Atmosphere and Influences
The game presents a voxel-based cyberpunk visual style, with a frequently rainy atmosphere. The tone draws clear inspiration from narrative-focused titles like VA-11 Hall-A and Citizen Sleeper, emphasizing how everyday choices and relationships shape a life's direction. This everyday existence is contrasted by a darker underbelly: the corporate security force CorpSec tightens its grip on districts, and a mysterious serial killer stalks the neon-lit streets.
Nivalis Nights is developed by ION LANDS and published by 505 Games. It is categorized as an Adventure, Role-Playing, and Simulation title. The city can be freely explored but is not a fully open world. The game also supports a Korean language interface and subtitles. Players can now purchase Nivalis Nights on Steam to begin building their cyberpunk life.
