The leaked video is timestamped "Aug26," suggesting it is a recent creation. While the assets are clearly unfinished, the editing and direction hint it could be an early version of an official trailer or an internal presentation. The report notes some placeholder elements, such as a credit for Hulk as "world director."
What the Leak Shows
The footage depicts several locations, including New York, a historic Japanese setting with bamboo forests, and the crowded deck of a S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier. A sign reading "Chicago" is also visible. Cutscenes feature the iconic suit HUD close-up from the Marvel films. Character models for Pepper Potts and Colonel Rhodes, who pilots War Machine, are shown, though the report describes the work-in-progress models as looking "like haunted custard."
Gameplay and Customisation
Gameplay appears to blend aerial traversal with combat, reminiscent of the Marvel's Spider-Man games but with a greater focus on ranged attacks. Iron Man is shown using hypervelocity missiles and palm repulsors for levitation, blasts, and punches. EA announced this Iron Man game in 2022 as part of a planned series of Marvel adaptations. Since then, the company has cancelled a Black Panther game and was acquired by a Saudi-led consortium. The report states this acquisition has left EA with an $18 billion debt to pay off, which could create instability. Given the long silence since the project's announcement, the report expresses speculative concern about the game's future, noting that EA has been asked for comment. The game is distinct from an older, cancelled Iron Man project by Avalanche Studios.
