Activision serves cheat seller Elocarry

Activision has released footage showing a legal representative delivering a cease-and-desist order to the Ohio home of a cheat seller known as Elocarry. The video was posted to the official Call of Duty account on Friday, August 28, 2026, though the legal action itself occurred on August 22 during the Modern Warfare 4 closed beta.

In the roughly one-minute clip, a representative arrives at a house and hands paperwork to a man whose face is blurred. "I just got some paperwork for you," the representative states. "Attorneys for Activision and, uh, it's a cease-and-desist order for you." He instructs the man to contact the office listed on the documents before departing.

The Target and the Claims

The target was Elocarry, a seller whose products reportedly extended beyond Call of Duty to other multiplayer titles like Rust and Apex Legends. Prior to the visit, Elocarry had been selling a Black Ops 7 and Warzone cheat pack advertised as safe from RICOCHET detection, with three-month subscriptions priced up to £79.99.

Activision shared a follow-up screenshot from Elocarry's Discord server. It indicated sales of Call of Duty products had been "temporarily paused" while an internal matter was reviewed, though the rest of the storefront reportedly remained active.

A Broader Anti-Cheat Campaign

Activision described the Ohio visit as a single component of a larger operation. The company claims it has now served more than 80 cease-and-desist demands, targeted over 375 reseller operations, and shut down more than 30 vendors completely. It issued a stark warning in its social media thread: "build cheats, sell cheats, we will find you."

The company also used the opportunity to discuss anti-cheat improvements for the upcoming Modern Warfare 4. Activision stated that during the previous weekend's beta, "infection rates were lower, hardware bans were harder to evade and our time to action improved." It did not provide specific details on these metrics.

Modern Warfare 4's Release and Beta

The second beta weekend for Modern Warfare 4 is currently underway and is open to all players, unlike the initial closed beta. It offers a multiplayer test, a campaign mission, and a Warzone battle royale drop. The first beta session provided five days of multiplayer action and saw high player counts on Steam and other platforms, despite being primarily for those who pre-ordered the game.

The full game will include 12 core 6v6 multiplayer maps, compared to the four available in the beta.
